History:
harrypotter.wikia.com/wiki/Luna_Lovegood
(headcanon to fill in blanks for book 7)
During book 7 while Luna was held in Malfoy Manor she was the target of torture by the Death Eaters. They figured the more they hurt her the faster she would spill the location of Harry Potter and the rest of the group. But she never wavered and never said a word: taking the frequent beatings and abuse with a brave face while hiding the fact she was ankle deep in emotional hell. But eventually she along with Dobby and Mr. Ollivander are rescued from the manor and she is snatched by the islands during the escape to Shell Cottage.
Due to her time held in Malfoy Manor Luna's not in the best of shape period. Its nothing to warrant a quick trip to the doctor she thinks (due to some major on the fly treatment from her friends post rescue) but its bad enough for people to worry and talk her into seeing one. She's currently dealing with a possible broken wrist (thankfully not her wand hand), tons of cuts and bruises, lack of sleep, not enough food (but not an eating disorder) and plenty of emotional/mental garbage to eventually work through.
Now that she's about 6 months post war she's past the worst of these demons outside some occasional range of motion issues and hand/wrist pain on occasion. But its nothing Advil can't fix most of the time.
Does your character have any close ties to existing canon characters? (Canon OCs and AUs only.)
NA
Why do you think your character would work in this setting?
This time she's coming in by choice and after the war and rebuilding the Wizarding World will consider this a badly needed vacation. She'll easily find her place among the magical population and just be her quirky self, hopefully opening minds along the way.
How do you plan to expand their CR?
By her nature Luna's a social creature so once she's past the worst of the fallout from Malfoy Manor and the war (which won't take long this time around) she'll be simply finding her way but on her terms. Finding other magical people will only help in spite of being from a different brand of magic.
What will your character do for work?
She can do anything from wait tables to freelance art via the merchant dome.
